Our beginners’ course starts on September 24th and ends November 12th, just in time for you to join our ALL-Pakka team practices before the winter break. The course fee is 80€ including gear loan* (skates & protective gear) and free practices until the end of the year 2023 after your course.

What to expect? The 7-week course consists of skating practices twice a week, in addition to which you’ll learn about rules and gameplay. The training plan includes skating technique, practicing safe hitting and getting comfortable with contact, as well as learning the basics of roller derby defense and offense.
Where do we train? We train at Viikin monitoimitalo (Maakaari 3, 00790) in Helsinki.
The practice times in a nutshell are:
First Sunday 24.9. at 14:30-17.30
Sunday 15.30-17.30
Friday 20-22
No previous skating experience is required! We can loan you gear for the Beginners’ Course to get you started, but also recommend you to check out Derbykirppis Rollaattori Facebook group for second hand skate gear. We are looking forward to seeing you on the track!
*We try to ensure every participant gets to loan gear from us but we cannot guarantee proper fits for everyone.
